This page is maintained by Brandon Jenner (the operator of Carspeed) to answer common questions about what Carspeed collects and how it is stored. It describes current practice; it is not a legal contract and it is not an independent certification.
What Carspeed collects
- Anonymous browsing: anyone can use the comparison and drag-race simulator without an account. No personal data is required.
- Account data (if you sign up): email address, display name, and any profile details you choose to add.
- Activity data (if you sign up): race history, tournament picks, daily-challenge answers, garage entries, forum posts, and comments.
- Technical logs: standard server and error logs (IP, user agent, request path) retained for operational and security purposes.
Analytics and cookies
Carspeed uses privacy-respecting page analytics (Plausible) that do not set cross-site identifiers and do not require a cookie banner in most jurisdictions. Session cookies are used only to keep you signed in. Carspeed does not use advertising trackers.
Where data is stored
Account and activity data are stored in a hosted PostgreSQL database managed via Lovable Cloud (Supabase). Authentication is handled by the same platform. Emails (weekly digest, account emails) are sent through the platform's transactional email service.
Third parties
- Lovable Cloud / Supabase — database, auth, storage.
- Plausible Analytics — aggregate page views.
- Cloudflare — edge hosting and DDoS protection.
Your choices
- You can request a copy or deletion of your account data by emailing brandon.jenner@outlook.com.au.
- You can unsubscribe from the weekly digest via any digest email footer.
- You can delete your account from the account settings once signed in.
Children
Carspeed is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect data from them.
